Macao University of Tourism Library Hosts CNKI Workshop: Advanced Database Skills and AI For Research Excellence

UTM Library organized a Chinese resource sharing workshop on September 16. The event aimed to help students gain a deeper understanding of the library's collections and their application techniques, thereby enhancing research efficiency.
Key Highlights of the Workshop
Overcoming Search Blind Spots: Master advanced filtering and cross-referencing techniques for both journal and master’s/doctoral thesis databases to precisely locate key literature.
AI-Empowered Research: Hands-on demonstration of the CNKI AI Assistant to ensure that 100% of AI-generated content is traceable to academic sources, completely eliminating AI hallucinations.
Integrating Knowledge Bases: Combine “Xinke Library” with CNKI resources to build a personalized knowledge discovery engine and enhance academic efficiency.

The event received enthusiastic feedback from students, with many participants noting that the session provided them with a more comprehensive grasp of library resources. They expressed intentions to more proactively leverage these tools in their future academic endeavors. The library, in turn, committed to hosting similar events ongoing to better address students' research needs.
